Exercise Inside a Car
Some people consider cars as a way of not exercising. They may think so because of the fact that when you have a car, you do not have to walk to your destination even if it is just nearby. Cars have made it possible to reach long distances in short periods, since some individuals do drive their cars even when they could just walk to their destinations. Part of that is because of the busy nature of society. However, there are ways that one can still keep fit even inside their cars.
When travelling long distance, it is common for people to run into traffic jams especially when it is rush hour and a lot of people are on the road with their automobiles. Instead of complaining about how the traffic delays you on your trip, why not take the opportunity instead to exercise for a bit? Here are some ways that you and your passengers can burn off a bit of sweat and fat while waiting for the traffic to start moving.
Sit Ups
Sit ups can be done by both the driver and the front seat passenger. To do this, one has to lower their seats all the way to the horizontal position. When that is done, they should push themselves up and try to reach the glove box with their hands. You can repeat this as many times as you want while waiting for the traffic to lighten. For added difficulty and exertion, you can tighten your seatbelt a bit or loosen it up as you see fit.
Press Ups
Another good way to exercise inside the car is to simulate press-ups. Just like the sit up, you can do this with the seat almost completely horizontal. This time, however, you have your feet planted up in the glove box or dashboard. From this position, you can start lifting your upper body up and down. This is a good exercise for the abdomen and upper body.
Doing Exercise From the Back-seat
The person in the back-seat can also do these exercises for himself. All they have to do is lie down on their back, put their feet on either door, and try to lift himself up as many times as he could.
